How to board early on Virgin Voyages

TL/DR: Book with us, as Virtuoso agents, and you automatically unlock Anytime Boarding. Otherwise, check in ASAP, book Splash of Romance, be a Rockstar, or have Deep Blue Extras.

Why board early?

Aside from making the most of your vacation time, this is an instance where the early bird indeed gets the worm.

Show reservations and fitness classes are only bookable from the ship.

Your chances of landing a spot in a niche 10-person class are slim if you're the last one on the ship.

Here is the real pro tip:

Board as early as you can and, before checking out your cabin, head over to the Sip Lounge or Grounds Club. Grab a glass of bubbly or a cappuccino to toast to your trip, hop on the ship's wifi, and make your bookings.

How do get the earliest embarkation time (1:30pm in Miami):

  • Make your selection ASAP

    • For one, you can select an early time when prompted by email to check in and do so. If you sleep on this at all or book fairly close to your voyage, you will not be able to score an early time.

  • Splash of Romance

    • Those who've added Splash of Romance to their booking (at $200 per cabin) will be able to board at the earliest time, 1:30pm.

  • Rock out as a RockStar

    • Booking in a RockStar suite will also grant you early embarkation.

  • Deep Blue Extras

    • Through the end of 2024, Virgin will allow those who have made DBE loyalty status to board early.

  • Book with a Virtuoso agent (us!)

    • Virgin offers special perks to Virtuoso agencies, including granting all of our sailors Priority Anytime Embarkation. This is automatic through booking with us, so no matter what your app time says, whether or not you have Splash of Romance, etc, you will be able to flash a special email and board at your leisure.

If you are booking a last minute cruise especially, you will want to take advantage of this!
